== Walkthrough ==
*You must be on BRD to activate the cutscene.
*Talk to [[Bki Tbujhja]] in the Merry Minstrel, in [[Lower Jeuno]] ({{Location Tooltip|area=Lower Jeuno|pos=H-8}}) who asks for a vial of [[Holy Water]].
*Trade [[Bki Tbujhja]] the [[Holy Water]] and she will inform you that you need to pay your respects to the Bard of yesteryear. She returns the [[Holy Water]] and directs you to pour the flask onto a sarcophagus in [[The Eldieme Necropolis]].
:**OPTIONAL: Speak to [[Mataligeat]] on the other side of the counter from [[Bki Tbujhja]] for some insight about this bard, and how he came to a horrible end.

*Head to [[Beaucedine Glacier]] then zone into the isolated area of [[Batallia Downs]] at ({{Location Tooltip|area=Beaucedine Glacier|pos=H-11}}). Once there, enter the [[Eldieme Necropolis]] via the entrance at ({{Location Tooltip|area=Batallia Downs|pos=F-5}}).
*Make your way to the dead-end room filled with five sarcophagi at ({{Location Tooltip|area=The Eldieme Necropolis|map=Map 2|pos=D-4}}). When ready, trade the vial of [[Holy Water]] to one of the sarcophagi to spawn three [[Skeleton]] Notorious Monsters: A [[Black Mage]], [[Yum Kimil]], and two [[Warrior|Warriors]], [[Owl Guardian]] and [[Dog Guardian]].

:*The sarcophagus you need to trade to is random.
:*Like all skeletons, only light based sleep will work ([[Lullaby]], [[Sheep Song]], etc.). [[Yum Kimil]] cannot be slept.
:*Spawning them while [[sneak]]ed will not prevent aggro.
:*A party will only need to kill the NMs once.
:*If you zone or die after popping them, the rest of your party can pull one at a time.
:*It isn't necessary to kill all three NMs. If you pull one NM and then wait for the other two to despawn before killing it, you only need to fight one.
:*If you are defeated, immediately touching the Sarcophagus will result in "Nothing Happens". Wait a few minutes and when you touch it again the NMs will respawn. You do not need to trade another [[Holy Water]]. If you already killed [[Yum Kimil]], you will get the cutscene and your reward instead.
*Once they have been defeated, re-investigate the same sarcophagus onto which you poured the [[Holy Water]] for a cutscene and the {{KeyItem}}[[Star Ring (Key Item)|Star ring]].
*Head back to [[Lower Jeuno]] and talk with [[Bki Tbujhja]] to complete the quest.

== Strategy ==
All have the Spider special attacks and Additional Effect: Poison. Poison hits for 50 HP/tic.
Anasi casts Paralyga, Poisonga II and Slowga.
The Son of Anansi spawn after Anansi is defeated. Spawns occur every few seconds so it takes a little while before all the Sons can be sleepga'd together. You'll know all Sons are out when Anansi's body disappears.
The Son of Anansi are susceptible to Sleep, Lullaby, and Charm.
Anasi is susceptible to bind, paralyze and gravity but gains some resistance to gravity over time.

== Walkthrough ==
*Talk to [[Despachiaire]], who is upstairs behind the [[Walnut Door]] at {{Position|Tavnazian Safehold|K-10|Map 2}}, for a cutscene that starts the quest and to receive an {{KeyItem}}[[Antique Amulet]].
*Go to [[Southern San d'Oria]] and talk to [[Rouva]].
*Go to [[Jugner Forest]] and exit at {{Position|Jugner Forest|E-6}} into [[Carpenters' Landing]].
*Find the [[???]] at {{Position|Carpenters' Landing|F-9}} on a glowing mushroom spore and select to spawn the [[Funguar]] NM [[Para]].
**The [[???]] is roughly in the center of the square.

*Defeat [[Para]].
**When [[Para]] is at 10-50% of it's health, it will replicate itself when it uses a TP move if not defeated quickly. It is helpful to save MP or TP to do large damage once it reaches low HP.
**The first incarnation and all of its replications can easily be disposed of by most 70+ jobs. It has about 1000 HP.
**Although no more than three to four copies seem to be up at a given time (there may be a limit), there is no known limit to the total number of times it can replicate itself. A reasonable source of spike damage is necessary for this fight.
**The replications are exact copies with the same amount of Max HP and strength.
**The NM seems to be around the same strength as Funguars in the area but with substantially more HP.
**[[Para]] cannot be slept using [[Lullaby]].
*Once [[Para]] is defeated, select the [[???]] to obtain a {{KeyItem}}[[Cathedral Medallion]].
*Return to [[Southern San d'Oria]] and talk with [[Rouva]].
*Return to the [[Tavnazian Safehold]] and talk with [[Despachiaire]] to complete the quest.
