Red Mages (RDM) are called the Jack of All Trades by many for their abilities to cast White Magic, Black Magic, and fight with swords and daggers. Though their healing, nuking, and fighting skills aren't as good as those of the specialists - White Mages, Black Mages, and Warriors - they are still competent. Their real strengths lie in their mastery of enhancing and enfeebling skills when within a party, and leveraging their many "trades" against their enemies when outside of one. Players starting the game as a Red Mage receive an Onion Sword changes and have the spell Dia available to cast.

Walkthrough
*Promyvion - Vahzl is five levels instead of four, and the mobs are stronger to match. Like the other Promyvions, it's only tough if you or your party is aggroing everything in sight. Be patient, wait until openings occur. It can be done.
*Promyvion - Vahzl is capped at level 50, so be sure to bring the appropriate gear.
*On levels three, four, and five, you will have to search for Memory Flux gates. They will spawn NMs; these are mandatory fights and required to proceed with the mission. The one on the third floor is a Propagator (Gorger type), on the fourth floor, a Solicitor (Craver type), and on the fifth floor, a Ponderer (Thinker type with AOE Sleep so bring poison pots). After you defeat each NM, check the Memory Flux a second time for a cutscene. Then heal up and search for the next Memory Receptacle.
:*If you have a Paladin tank, make sure they don't eat defense food when you're getting close to Ponderer. If it absorbs a Tavnazian Taco and Protect it is almost impossible to hurt with melee attacks.
:*Each time you get the cutscene, you’re given the option to warp to that Memory Flux from the gate in Pso'Xja. So, after you beat a Memory Flux, you can resume there later without starting over.
:*If you don’t defeat all three Memory Flux NMs and get the cutscenes at those areas, you will not be able to cross to the Web of Recollections within the Spire of Vahzl.
*Enter the Web of Recollections and be prepared to face each of the earlier Promyvion bosses one at a time. From left to right, they are Procreator (Gorger type), Cumulator (Craver type), and Agonizer (Thinker type).
*You can choose which boss to fight first; the next boss in the sequence will then aggro when the previous is at about 20% HP.
:*If you pull Cumulator first, Procreator attacks next, and then Agonizer.
:*If you pull Agonizer first, Cumulator attacks next, and then Procreator.
:*If you pull Procreator first, Agonizer attacks next, and then Cumulator.
;Strategy tips:
:* As with all Empty, their elements will be random. Make sure to note the bosses' elements so as not to cast spells that will be ineffective.
:* The Procreator can usually be tanked for some time when it's HP is high without having to fear bad TP moves or an invasion of the Offspring.
:* The next boss in the sequence will always aggro when the current boss is at 20% HP. Delay this mob with Terroanima and/or Bind/Shadowbind until you can finish off the weakened mob, which shouldn't take long. Also Rdm can kite with Stoneskin/Phalanx and Bind.
:* If your party has a full set of anima, use one Psychoanima/Hysteroanima pair at about 50%, and a second at about 25% on each boss. If you only have one set per boss, use it at 25%.
:* Watch out for Cumulator's Impalement early on. If it kills the tank, it's probably easier to leave the BC and try again.
:* Any Offspring Procreator spawns will die when it dies, so just finish it off to get rid of the Offspring.
:* Agonizer continues to be the strongest. Save resources (2-hours, MP, etc.) for finishing it quickly. Cast "dummy" buffs; use Poison Potions if you brought any.
:* Blue Mage's Headbutt is very helpful, as it can prevent many melee and TP attacks by the bosses.
:* The tank must not eat defense food until Agonizer is dead. If you have a Paladin tank, pulling Agonizer first allows them to use food for the other two bosses.
:* With a setup including two or more BLM it is possible to win this fight without using anima or 2-hours (a good setup example is RDM, BLM x2, NIN x2 and WHM because this setup minimises the TP gain of the enemy). The strategy is to have the black mages both cast Freeze at 19-22% to kill the boss you are fighting, and have one NIN temporarily tank or a RDM Gravity kite the next one for a few seconds if necessary. It is better to use Freeze a little bit too late than too early, as the ideal is to make sure the boss you are fighting dies from the spells, then have the black mages heal to full in a safe corner and repeat the same thing on the next. Naturally if you have more than two BLM it is probably safe to start casting around 25%.
* Also a setup of WHM, RDM, SAM (tank), and 3 DDs can be used throughout all the fights. Have everyone bring full sets of anima, and do not use any until you fight in the BCNM. Just be sure the mages stay back away to avoid the AoE, and all DDs to bring poison potions.
*You will receive 1500 experience for winning the fight.
*When the Spire battle is cleared, head out to Beaucedine Glacier and talk to the three Tarutaru in the tower at (I-7). There will not be a cutscene from the three Tarutarus, nor will the mission log change. (optional)
* You will only receive the additional +5 Mog Wardrobe 2 slots reward when you speak to Cid, which is also the beginning of Promathia Mission 5-3.

Historical Background
A coney is a rabbit, especially a European rabbit. It is considered an obsolete word for rabbit. Coney Island, NYC, NY, is named after coney (rabbit). The Dutch name for the island was Coneyn Eilant (Rabbit Island), and the name was carried over when translated when the British took over. The island got its name because it was overrun with rabbits until all the open space was developed.

How to Play
<poem>Start by collecting Initial Eggs, each inscribed with a letter.

The easiest way to do this is by speaking to one of the festival moogles in each area where the event is held, but you can only collect one egg each day using this method. If you are in a party when you speak with the moogle, you will have the opportunity to select the type of egg you want based on the initials of your party's other members.

You can collect even more initial eggs by trading other types of eggs you may have on hand to any of the moogles in the three nations. Just remember that these egg exchanges are also limited to one per day (per nation). How many initial eggs you receive varies depending on the quantities and varieties of eggs you trade, so if you are not happy with what you get once, keep trying!

Once you've collected enough eggs, start exchanging with other adventurers and try making a "combination." The most basic one is called a "First 3." When you have the three initial eggs necessary for this combo, trade them to one of the moogles and collect your prize!

After a "First 3," try building an "Initial Straight 8" or a "7 of a Kind." The more you make, the more presents you'll take home!

Don't forget that you'll have to trade in a "First 3" before you can trade in any other combos. Think of it as a sort of preliminary test!

And for those of you who are looking for a real challenge, try discovering different, more exotic combinations. The moogles are usually reluctant to give out any of their classified information, but maybe if you are persistent enough, one will let you in on a secret or two! Make it a point to talk to them as often as possible!

Please note that all "new adventurers" will be required to wait one Vana'diel day before being eligible to receive initial eggs.
Festival Duration
*The Egg Hunt Egg-stravaganza will began at 7:00AM EST on April 7th, and last until 21st or 22nd rumored (Hugin)Verification¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Event Walkthrough
Collecting Eggs
*You may collect one free event egg from the Moogle per Vana'diel day.
*Usually the letter you receive is random. However, if you are partied with one or more other people, you will be able to choose your letter from among the first letters of each party members' name. They must be in the same zone
*You may collect bonus eggs per day by trading regular eggs to the Moogle.
**You may get one bonus event egg randomly by trading any of the following to the Moogle:
**#12 Bird Eggs
**#12 Soft-Boiled Eggs
**#6 Lizard Eggs
**#1 Colored Egg
**You may get two bonus event eggs (same letters) by trading the following:
**#1 Party Egg (HQ of colored egg)

Rewards
Before getting any of the reward eggs for the event, you must first complete the "First Three."

width="50%" valign="top" style="border:1px solid gray; padding-left:1em;"|
First Three
*The "First Three" is the first three letters of your name.
*Thus, if your name was Moogle, you would trade an 'M', an 'O' and an 'O' to complete the "First Three."

Reward - Chocobo Tickets or a colored drop
Repeatable - Yes
width="50%" valign="top" |

Once you have completed the "First Three," you may do any of the following combinations.

width="50%" valign="top" style="border:1px solid gray; padding-left:1em;"|
Seven of a Kind
*"Seven of a Kind" is seven eggs of the exact same letter.
*Thus, any seven eggs of the exact same letter ("A"x7...."Z"x7) are acceptable.

Reward - Fortune Egg
Repeatable - No, if you currently already have a Fortune Egg.

width="50%" valign="top" style="border:1px solid gray; padding-left:1em;"|

Initial Straight Eight
*"Initial Straight Eight" is eight consecutive letters of the alphabet starting with the first letter of your name.
*Thus, if your name was Moogle, you would need an 'M', 'N', 'O', 'P', 'Q', 'R', 'S' and 'T'.
*If you name starts with "Y", you would need 'Y', 'Z', 'A', 'B', 'C', 'D','E' and 'F'
Reward - Happy Egg
Repeatable - No, if you currently already have a Happy Egg.
width="50%" valign="top" style="border:1px solid gray; padding-left:1em;"|

National Eggs
*There are three different furniture eggs, one representing each nation. These may be place in your Mog House layout.
*To obtain these eggs, trade eggs corresponding to the first five letters of a region that is currently controlled by the nation whose egg you want.
*Thus, if you want the egg representing Bastok, and Bastok currently controls the Gustaberg region, you would need to trade the letters 'G', 'U', 'S', 'T' and 'A'.

Reward
*Lamp Egg (Bastok) center
*Flower Egg (Windurst) right
*Wing Egg (San d'Oria) left
Repeatable - Yes, as long as you do not have all three furniture eggs yet.

Orphic Egg
*The Orphic Egg is obtained by trading letters corresponding to the element for the day.
**Fire will work on Firesday.
**Air will work on Windsday.
**Light will work on Lightsday.
**Earth will work on Earthsday.
**Dark will work on Darksday.
Repeatable - No, if you currently already have the Orphic Egg.

width="50%" valign="top" style="border:1px solid gray; padding-left:1em;"|

Other Rewards
*Trading the first five letters for a Beastman controlled region will get you a Beastman Costume.
*Trading the letters for "Orphic" will get you a Beastman Costume.
*Trading the incorrect element for the day (I.E. Light on Windsday) will get you a colored drop that matches the element you traded, unless you already have one, then you will get nothing.
*If you name starts with "Y", you would need 'Y', 'Z', 'A', 'B', 'C', 'D','E' and 'F'
Reward - Happy Egg
Repeatable - No, if you currently already have a Happy Egg.
width="50%" valign="top" style="border:1px solid gray; padding-left:1em;"|

Repeatable - Yes, as long as you do not have all three furniture eggs yet.
width="50%" valign="top" style="border:1px solid gray; padding-left:1em;"|

Orphic Egg
*The Orphic Egg is obtained by trading letters corresponding to the element for the day.
**Fire will work on Firesday.
**Air will work on Windsday.
**Light will work on Lightsday.
**Thunder will work on Lightningday.
**Ice will work on Iceday.
**Earth will work on Earthsday.
**Dark will work on Darksday.
**Water will work on Watersday.

Reward - Orphic Egg
Repeatable - No, if you currently already have the Orphic Egg.

width="50%" valign="top" style="border:1px solid gray; padding-left:1em;"|

Other Rewards
*Trading the first five letters for a Beastman controlled region will get you a Beastman Costume.
*Trading the letters for "Orphic" will get you a Beastman Costume.
*Trading the incorrect element for the day (I.E. Light on Windsday) will get you a colored drop that matches the element you traded, unless you already have one, then you will get nothing.
width="50%" valign="top" style="border:1px solid gray; padding-left:1em;"|

Walkthrough
*Talk to Brutus in Upper Jeuno and then head to the 10th floor of Upper Delkfutt Tower.
* You do not need to be Bst for the remainder of this quest.
*If you still have the Delkfutt Key from Rank 4, you can take a shortcut up from Lower Delkfutt Tower. When you enter Lower Delkfutt Tower, take a left at the first intersection and follow the right side of the wall past the stairwell and into a corridor. There will be a cermet door on the right, trade your key to it and it will allow you to enter (you do not lose the key). Go through the corridor until you enter a large room, take the first corridor on the left.
*To the right of a long stairwell is the ??? at the bottom which will automatically transfer you to the elevator on the 10th floor of Upper Delkfutt Tower.

*From now, if you went as THF (main), you can just find the chest and use thief's tools on it. You can avoid the key farming step this way. (Just the same way you can avoid on old gauntlets on AF quests)

*Kill Gigas on the 10th floor to get a Delkfutt Chest Key. Elementals and Ghosts on the 7th through 10th floor also drop the key.
*The chest spawns on the 8th, 9th and 10th Middle Delkfutt Tower floors - as seen in the attached maps.
*Open the chest to get the Guiding Bell (key item).
*Return to Brutus to complete the quest.
:The guiding bell is hidden somewhere inside Delkfutt's Tower. Brutus wants you to bring it back for his deceased chocobo.
