tocright

Hyper Empty Notorious Monster or HENM as it's more commonly referred to, is a custom HorizonXI tiered endgame content system changes. Adventurers will face increasingly difficult fights as they progress through the tiers and can expect to be rewarded with brand new era+ equipment, crafting items and even ancient currency. Tier one released with the 1.2.1 patch in November 2023. Tier two released with the 1.2.2 patch in June 2024.

It has been speculated that adventurers can expect a further two tiers, however no ETA has been given for these at this time.

How Does it Work
To begin, adventurers must first visit Shady Tonberry in Rabao and purchase the tier one pop item Faded Stone. A full alliance of 18 players may participate in each battle and only one member must possess a pop item. These can be taken to the various ???'s found throughout Vana'diel to begin the HENM fight. See the HENM's section below for more information about each one available. Adventurers will be granted the Confrontation status effect for the duration of the fight. Any players outside of the alliance without the confrontation Status cannot assist or participate in the fight. If a fight ends in failure, the group must purchase another pop item from Shady Tonberry. There is no limit to the amount of attempts players can make.

Once a player has cleared a tier one HENM, they will become eligible to purchase a tier two pop item from Shady Tonberry. It has been stated in previous patch notes that a single tier one and a single tier two clear will be required for players to be eligible for tier three, when this tier is released. A player must be able to roll on the rewards from a HENM battle to be considered "cleared". Certain conditions must be met by players to ensure that they remain eligble for the clear:
* Any Adventurers invited to the party after the fight has begun will not be eligible to cast lots on any loot.
* If an Adventurer disconnects during the HENM fight, they must click on the same ??? used to pop the HENM to regain their Confrontation Status and rejoin the fight. However, they may gain the weakness status effect upon clicking ???.

Once a player has obtained a clear, they are considered to be on "loot lockout" for that tier. However, this does not prevent adventurers from purchasing further pop items and assisting others with their clears. Please see rewards and loot lockout below for further information.

As of the 1.2.2 patch, HENM fights will lock out all Adventurers who are in the alliance at the start of each encounter, if that encounter is completed successfully. This will happen even if that player is:
* No longer in the alliance
* Dead
* Offline

Rewards & Loot Lockout
HENMs have a special "loot lockout" mechanic which resets with the weekly conquest tally. All players are considered eligble for loot and Cerulean Shards once per tier, per conquest tally. Alliances must ensure that the majority of group members are eligible for loot for the group to receive drops at the end of a fight.

Cerulean Shards are a new type of currency that can be used to purchase items from the Shady Tonberry. They will also be used to upgrade HENM gear when additional tiers are released in the future. Players can expect to receive the following for each tier:
* Tier 1: 50 Cerulean Shards
* Tier 2: 75 Cerulean Shards
* Tier 3: TBC
* Tier 4: TBC

Experience points are only granted on the first clear like gear lots and adventurers can expect to receive the following exp rates:
* Tier 1: 2,500 exp
* Tier 2: 3,750 exp
* Tier 3: TBC
* Tier 4: TBC

See below for notable loot drops or specific HENM pages for a full list of all possible rewards.

Hard Mode
HENM's come with a Hard Mode option, where the fights are significantly more difficult than their normal counterparts.

Hard Mode Conditions
Only the Tier 2 HENMs currently have a Hard Mode counterpart. In order to enable a fight's hard mode, a specific condition particular to that fight must be met. This then activates the Hard Mode and a message will appear in the chat log to confirm that the NM has become "enraged" and the treasure will be improved if you defeat it.

For Mammet-9999, a Yellow Liquid needs to be used. This must be done prior to any actions being taken upon the NM or it will not work.

For Ultimega (HENM), a CCB Polymer Pump needs to be used. This must be done prior to any actions being taken upon the NM or it will not work.

For Tonberry Sovereign, you must magic burst through each 20% phase using the same element each time. At the 40% phase, one member of the alliance must be equipped with an Uggalepih Necklace when the phase is completed, which causes Odin to appear and apply Terror to the alliance in place of its Astral Flow ability.

Rewards
For completing Hard Mode, all normal drops are one tier higher on the Treasure Hunter scale (a Rare item will be bumped up to the Uncommon tier for example). There will also be a cosmetic item that will always drop that is specific to the hard mode fight.

*Additional HENM tiers will be added as they are ready.

Notes
*Each will use Draw In prior to using TP.
*have Petrification on auto attacks.
* If you have weakness. Do the following.
** First, if wait for a TP move before accepting raise.
** Second, move 45 yalms away from the closest scorpion.
** Third, you should be safe there. But watch for poison and get ready to antidote.
* Do not tractor your teammates. Do the following if you get tractored.
** Return to homepoint and chocobo back to where your alliance is fighting.
** When you are ready, click on the ??? again.
** You should get the battlefield buff again and you may return to fighting.
* Poison is strong. Bring Antidotes. Don't be that guy.
*Utsusemi shadows will absorb Wild Rage AoE ability.

Strategy
* Tank the Scorpions 45 yalms apart from one another in a triangle
** This allows for a safe spot in the center of the triangle for mages to rest and DDs to escape if needed.
* Recommended that each person brings 1-2 stacks of Antidotes and self-cures the high damaging poison.
* Must be killed in reverse spawn order. SPAWN ORDER IS RANDOM.
** For example, you trade the Faded Stone to the ???.
** Batcheh spawns first, Tank 1 will grab it and tank it where it spawned. No need to attack this scorpion at all at this time.
** Efdet spawns shortly after Batcheh, Tank 2 will grab it and run to their designated spot 45 yalms away. No need to attack this scorpion at all at this time.
** Sefedsepu spawns shortly after Efdet, Tank 3 will grab it and run to their designated spot 45 yalms away. Once enmity has been established, begin killing Sefedsepu.
** Once Sefedsepu dies, begin killing Efdet.
** Once Efdet dies, begin killing Batcheh.
** Profit.
