*[[Forced Spawn|Spawned]] by trading a [[Goblin Drink]] to the Scrawled Writing, which spawns randomly at either (G-13), (I-11), or in the left passage of (I-9).
:*The Scrawled Writing will respawn 15-20 minutes after the Goblin Wolfman was last ''spawned'', provided the previous spawn has been killed. {{Changes}}
:*It is possible for the Scrawled Writing to respawn in the same place.
*Uses [[Blood Weapon]] in addition to [[:Category:Goblins#Special Attacks|Goblin special attacks]] and [[:Category:Moblins#Special Attacks|Moblin special attacks]].
*Casts [[Stun]] in one minute intervals, and is able to cast [[Drain]], [[Aspir]], and the Absorb spells.

*Talk to [[Hariga-Origa]] in [[Windurst Waters]] in the west [[Optistery]] at {{Location|Windurst Waters|map=North|F-8}}; he asks you to bring items to fix smudges in a book.
*Obtain [[Slime Oil]], which drops from [[:Category:Slimes|slime]]s and can be bought from the [[Auction House]].
*Acquire a [[Frost Turnip]], which can be bought from the [[Auction House]] or the [[Valdeaunia|Valdeaunia regional merchant]], or obtained from [[Vegetable Seeds]] in [[Mog Garden]].
*Trade both items at the same time to [[Hariga-Origa]] for your reward.
**If you already purchased a {{KeyItem}}[[Map of Fei'Yin]] from a vendor, you do not receive another.
*Optional: after completing the quest, talk to [[Serukoko]] to learn the origin of the stain.
