*Trade 25 [[:Category:Crystals|crystals]] to a Conquest NPC to unlock this mission, then talk to a [[San d'Oria Gate Guard]] to start it.

*Go to [[Chateau d'Oraguille]], where you'll receive a cutscene upon entering.

*Speak to [[Halver]] for instructions.

===NM Fight===
*Travel to the [[Quicksand Caves]] and reach the ''Fountain of Kings'' at ({{Location Tooltip|area=Quicksand Caves|map=Map 2|pos=G-14}}) [Map 2].
** The cave entrance at [[Eastern Altepa Desert]] ({{Location Tooltip|area=Eastern Altepa Desert|pos=H-10}}) will place you on [Map 2].
**You will need to drop in a hole at ({{Location Tooltip|area=Quicksand Caves|map=Map 2|pos=E-11}}) [Map 2] to reach this isolated portion of the map.

*Clear the area and check ''Fountain of Kings''. This will spawn two [[:Category:Sea Monk|kraken]] NMs, [[Honor]] and [[Valor]].

*They spawn in the lake and allow for easy pulling.
*You can pull them one at a time, they will not link, but will aggro to sound.
**[[Valor]] uses [[Hundred Fists]].
**[[Honor]] casts [[Paralyga]] and [[Silencega]].
**It is possible to land [[Blind]] and [[Gravity]] on either, but both resist [[Sleep]].
**Letting one depop and then defeating the other makes this a lot easier to deal with.

* 7/2/25 - Solo'd Valor as 75BST/NIN - Sneak Popped then set Melodia on Valor I never even engaged, easy fight.

*Check the ''Fountain of Kings'' again, after the bodies disappear, for some [[Drops of Amnio]].

*Return to [[Halver]].

*Wait until after JST midnight, and then zone in to [[Northern San d'Oria]] for another cutscene.

==Walkthrough==

*Trade 16~24 [[:Category:Crystals|crystals]] to a Conquest NPC to unlock this mission, then speak with a [[San d'Oria Gate Guard]], who will instruct you to go to the garden in the Chateau.

*Head for the {{Location|Chateau d'Oraguille|F-7}} and go towards (F-7). You will receive a cutscene.

*Speak to the Gate Guard to receive the mission.

===BCNM Fight===
*Gather a party and head for [[Horlais Peak]]. Only people who are on 7-2 or have completed it may enter. It is recommended that you bring a BLM and/or a BRD for sleeping the mobs.

*Get ready and enter the BC. The fight is against 3 [[Orc]]s and 2 [[Orcish Warmachines]]:
**[[Darokbok of Clan Reaper]] (Level 68, [[PLD]])
**[[Derakbak of Clan Wolf]] (Level 68, [[DRG]])
**[[Jagidbod of Clan Reaper]] (Level 68, [[RNG]])
**[[Wolf Clan Warmachine]]
**[[Reaper Clan Warmachine]]

*Open the fight with [[Elemental Seal]] + [[Sleepga II]]. (Sheepsong worked with Melodia as well) Fight the Warmachines first, then the Paladin, the Dragoon and Wyvern, and the Ranger last. A Melee/NIN can pretty easily solo any of the NMs. Prioritize the Warmachines.

*When finished, you'll receive another cutscene, and receive the [[Crystal Dowser]].

*Head back to [[San d'Oria]] and speak to any Gate Guard to finish the mission.

== Walkthrough ==
*Talk to [[Iron Eater]] in [[Metalworks]] who will give you the [[Axe of Trials]] and the {{KeyItem}}[[Weapon Training Guide]].
*Use the [[Axe of Trials]] until the latent effect disappears.
:*How to remove the latent effect:
::*You must perform Weapon Skills and Skillchains on monsters that check as Easy Prey or higher.
::*Weapon Skills performed while under Level Sync count.
::*You receive 1 point for opening/soloing a weapon skill, 2 points for closing a Lv.1 Skillchain, 3 points for closing a Lv.2 Skillchain and 5 points for closing a level 3 skillchain.
::*You must accumulate 300 total points.
::*To check to see if the latent effect has disappeared, simply look at your elemental resistances. If you are not receiving the elemental bonus from the [[Axe of Trials]] then you have broken the latent. It is NOT necessary to un-equip/re-equip the weapon.
::*You will not be able to tell if the latent is broken while under the effect of Level Sync. You will not receive the elemental bonuses while Level Sync is in effect. Therefore, you must be unsynced to check.
*Once you no longer receive the latent effect bonus, head back to [[Metalworks]] and trade the [[Axe of Trials]] back to [[Iron Eater]] who will take the weapon from you and give you a {{KeyItem}}[[Map to the Annals of Truth]] and tell you to head to [[Sanctuary of Zi'Tah]].
*Once in [[Sanctuary of Zi'Tah]] go to F-6 and click the [[???]] (ignore map's mark, it's just wrong) in the far northwestern corner of the square to spawn the NM named [[Greenman]].
*Once the NM is dead, re-examine the ??? to obtain the {{KeyItem}}[[Annals of Truth]]. If you zone and forget to check the ???, you will have to fight the [[Greenman]] again to get the key item.
*More than one person can gain the key item from a single fight, as long as they check the ???.
*Bring this back to [[Iron Eater]] for your reward.
