Sattva is linked to [[Vishnu's Cesti\|Vishnu]] the Preserver in the Hindu Trimurti. Only through Sattva can one attain heaven. Of the three gunas in Samkhya, sāttvika "pure", [[Rajas Ring\|rājasika]] "dim", and [[Tamas Ring\|tāmasika]] "dark", it is the highest.
