Welcome to the New Player Hub. If you're a new Final Fantasy XI player then this page will list various pages to help you along in your adventure! If you're already familiar with the game but are new to HorizonXI, you may find the Era+ Changes and Era+ Content pages of use.
Starting Out
When you first begin the game and create your character, there are certain choices that decide how your adventure will start, such as your race, job and your starting nation.
Exploring Vana'Diel
Vana'Diel is an incredibly large place and was continuously expanded upon with various expansions. HorizonXI currently uses the Chains of Promathia version and is planning to release the Treasures of Aht Urhgan expansion in the future.
Leveling Up
Players typically play the first 10 levels solo or with a friend(s). This involves leaving the safety of your starter city and killing the monsters you find outside. From level 10 onwards, players typically group up into parties as it's generally the fastest way to progress.
What to Do
There's always something to keep players busy in Vana'Diel, whether that be completing story content, quests or the various crafts and hobbies, there's always something to do.
