Breads & Rice can be classified into six different types, based on the effect they give you upon use.  The first type is '''Snacks''', they give you a temporary (3-5 minutes) food effects on HP or MP healing.  The second type is '''Breads''', which offer some [[Hit Points]] and [[Vitality]], good for low-level jobs (levels 1-20).  The third type is '''Sandwiches''', they offer a good amount of [[Hit Points]] and [[Vitality]] plus other stats, recommended for a tank or melee job.  The fourth type is '''Rice Balls''', they are specifically made for the [[Samurai|Samurais]] (though [[Ninja]] and [[Monk]] can benefit too).  The fifth type, '''Rice Dishes''', has more stats than a rice ball, allowing it to be used by more attack jobs and [[Ranger|Rangers]].  The sixth type is '''Pasta''', these dishes can only be made by a chef who has the [[Noodle Kneading]] ability.  Pasta dishes are excellent melee food (best for [[Monk]] and [[Warrior]] jobs), with stats including [[Hit Points]], [[Attack]], and [[Store TP]].
