Solo'ed on BST73. The tricky part is not getting aggro from the other Orcs during the pull or fight. I cleared the area around the bridge next to the zone to Monastic Cavern, then let Lullaby Melodia engage the NM. I ran back to the bridge and across to get some distance. Then heel melodia so she would teleport to me. Make her stay, if possible (depends on whether he hit her with dots or not), and run back across the bridge towards the NM. (The NM didn't link any other orcs, maybe I was lucky. If other orcs link, run across the bridge and zone into Monastic Cavern and rest for another attempt.) The NM will cast on melodia as soon as she is within range and you not want to get hit by his gaIII spells, which can do 700+ damage. Have her attack the NM again and keep your distance, best run close to the Monastic Cavern entrance in case things go wrong and you need to zone. I used Pet Food Zeta to keep her alive longer. He will kill the first melodia at some point and you need to summon another one. During that switch, you will certainly get targetted by one or two of his spells. /nin for utsusemi or /whm for blink + stoneskin certainly helps your chances here. bind + ancient magic and his gaIII spells are really dangerous. With another lamb chop, melodia took hate again and finished him with around 50% remaining, I didn't need to engage him myself at all. I guess there is a luck factor whether he casts more high damage spells or more enfeebles on melodia. If melodia takes too much damage, just zone into Monastic Cavern and try again.

Solo'd as SMN75. Targeted the NM from outside the building (no fillmode needed) and sent Carbuncle in. Be aware of nearby orcs aggroging when invis drops. Walked off the ledge into the water and ran far away to give myself distance to summon Ifrit when Carbuncle died. Two Flaming Crushes was all it took. Had to resummon Ifrit once when he ate too many -ga IIIs and ancient magic.
