This article will introduce you to a concept called "good-fath-farming". I may have stolen it from Ctownwoody(oh well). Grab a ginger cookie, a cup of san d'orian tea and pack some apple mint because here we go:
<div class="flex-container-item-{{{columns|2}}}">{{#replace:{{{2|}}}|%%%PIPE%%%|{{!}}}}</div>

I once thought about a position which doesn't exist in the standard private server structure. My position would be to promote a healthy, productive, or at least a worthwhile player run auction house(why not?). I love to watch the auction prices from synthesis material to end-products. To be brief, ever since I started playing I enjoyed the auction houses not being connected and concepts like bazaaring, crafting alts, or arbitration among the different auction houses in vana'diel.

What is gil(and who are you people in my house)? According to websters dictionary(not really), "Gil is the currency of Vana'diel, originally the currency of Jeuno, in 868 Crystal Era Gil was adopted as the official currency of Bastok, San d'Oria, and Windurst. Also known as the cause of and solution to all of Vana'diel's problems." Gil is generated by defeating monsters, finishing quests, doing mission ranks, as well as through selling goods or being paid directly for services like tele-taxis. Welp that changed a lot to now when square enix connected all of the auction houses together and here we are today. The lessons of maxing profits has lead many of us to reconsider our purchases and economic enterprises to even the most extreme of circumstances put simply as 'npcing items'. This cuts out the middle-man straight to delicious gil profits at the cost of time(of course); the unrealized cost though is A) more gil being added to the total number of gil and B) those items now being consumed by the inescapable void of the npc shop. But who cares about the total number of gil really because that number changes constantly with chocobo rental fees, synthesis material breaks and many other ways to go from 'three commas' to 'two commas' in your gil bank.
