*Solo 70 THF TH2 with a random fisherman hasting and occasionally curing me. The Crossbones were all too weak and I only went to yellow hp when i fought multiples. It took about 3 pirate invasions to finally get the sand charm. The time it dropped, i basically killed all the mobs and checked my inventory to see it afterwards. --Pyrra0 (talk) 17:16, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
*Solo 71 THF TH2 ; 2/10 on times I've killed all or almost all of the crossbones when they appear. Sometimes there's multiple THF camping which can make it difficult; but there's usually enough crossbones for everyone to have at least 1-3 kills per spawn. Easy to solo, but some might de-spawn near the end of the ship spawn if you don't gain enmity with a ranged attack or ability. Sea Horror shouldn't kill you, but you can't kill it, really, unless you're well geared at this lvl. I've not seen Sea Horror and pirates appear at the same time, but it's probably possible. It is possible to not have pirates appear 3, 4, or even 5 ship rides in a row, but it is random at any time of the day, roughly 1/4 chance. This was by far the worst part of the quest. At the end, a kind TH4 fisher helped me and another thf get 2 in one wave, with spawns to spare.
