1. Speak with Waoud in Aht Urhgan Whitegate at J-10 on a level 30+ job.
2. Agree to his divination.
   • You need at least 1000 gil.

• If you progress through the questions, Waoud will not progress the quest until at least one game day later, zoning at least once. Agree to help, answering that his words have moved you to action.

1. Answer the divination questions correctly so that Waoud sees all five serpent symbols.
   • If you fail, he charges 1000 gil and you must wait until the next Vana'diel day to try again.
2. Wait until the next Vana'diel day and zone.
3. Speak with Waoud again and agree to help him.
4. Obtain the item requested by Waoud.
5. Trade the requested item to Waoud.
6. Travel to Aydeewa Subterrane.
   • From Aht Urhgan Whitegate, exit to Bhaflau Thickets through the gate at H-7.
   • Enter Aydeewa Subterrane from Bhaflau Thickets at I-7.
7. Go to the pool in Aydeewa Subterrane at H-9.
8. Enter the center of the pool for a cutscene.
   • Keep the requested item in your inventory.
   • Choose to take his hand and answer yes to proceed.
9. After the cutscene, you are returned to Aht Urhgan Whitegate and can now become a Blue Mage.
10. Speak with Waoud again for an additional cutscene needed for future Blue Mage quests.
