| We have the templates:
| | See the main page. |
| * <nowiki>{{toau}}</nowiki>
| |
| * <nowiki>{{wotg}}</nowiki>
| |
| * <nowiki>{{soa}}</nowiki>
| |
|
| |
|
| These are found via "Template:name of template". We also have a useage page [[Tagging Out of Era Content|found here]].
| | == Ideas for Other Classes == |
| | | * Adventuring fellows (all zone pages have a fellow symbol which could be hidden/unhidden). |
| In a nutshell, adding '''"<nowiki>{{toau}}</nowiki>"''' etc. to a page will 'tag' the page, found by visiting the template page and under the 'What links here' section. To hide specific page content, the template can be used by "'''<nowiki>{{toau|content to hide}}</nowiki>"'''. This will also tag the page to the same list. Hiding content in this way is preferable as we can ''unhide it'', when necessary.
| |
| | |
| One major limitation of this currently is that is only works on plain text. If you try to add the template into another template or table, it doesn't work. For now, adding in "class: toau" (change toau to the required expansion) to a table line will hide the content in the same way as described above.

| == What We're Working On == | |
| We have been discussing this approach [https://discord.gg/ACGe2Q4Ye on the wiki discord] and here on this page. The current concern is that these current ''tags'' are a little too ambigous and when for example ToAU is released, the entirety of it's content will not be available. If we turn all the ToAU wiki content on, we will have information present that isn't available in game.
| |
| | |
| So far we have thoughts on creating sub templates to tag content with and we so far haven't settled on an approach. Sub templates could be '''"<nowiki>{{beseiged}}</nowiki>"''' to hide all beseiged related content. They could also be '''"<nowiki>{{toau1}}, {{toau2}} etc</nowiki>"''' for each release.
| |
| | |
| Whatever system we settle on, it needs to be cohesive. The naming system needs to be simple as it will be added hundred, if not thousands of times to pages. Eg. '''"<nowiki>{{beseiged}}</nowiki>"''' would be good, whereas '''"<nowiki>{{treasurs of aht urghan beseiged}}</nowiki>"''' would be bad.
| |
| | |
| | |
| | |
| | |
| One functionality we don't have but would like to is for all our tag templates to work within other templates/tables.
