1/30/26 Rebase
As of the rebase, Ifrit's 2hr Inferno is doing about 40 damage to Necroplasm. Per Kanryu in Discord," As an FYI what I found does not apply to Necroplasm. He just has high magic resistances in general. Just use Punch, Nails, or Shock Strike. Or better yet make an SC with those three." This quote is in response to a summoner doing mini-fork fights, with Carby's Searing Light only hitting for 11 damage.
SMN spam still works fine, just don't bother with 2HR--use skillchains and physical BP's like Punch. --Raegn (talk) 02:31, 3 February 2026 (UTC)
Completed this quest with an 18 person mixed job alliance (included 3 tanks and 3 whm's) and it was relatively easy. No real strategy necessary. Fight lasted around a minute, no deaths or close calls. Done on Horizon.

This strategey needs verifying.
- With a number of high-damaging jobs (SMN, RNG, or even WAR or SAM, etc.) using their 2 hour abilities from before receiving the ointment, the NM can be defeated with fewer people than usual. Astral Flow Inferno is the most damaging attack to this NM. However, this Eco-Warrior boss has the most HP of all Eco-Warrior NMs, so be careful.
SMN Duo / Trio
Can be done with two SMN's Using Yag drinks and Hi-Ethers. Safer to do with 3. Use Astral Flow with Ifrit and spam Inferno good idea to see if your trading hate when doing a duo as it can kill both close to each other. one higher level smn that can buff you is not a bad idea.
