Level 69. Capped Divine, Healing and Enhancing magic. Sword skill ~236, so under cap, but enough for Swift Blade. Shield skill ~215, Evasion 210, parrying 140 for what those are worth. This was my first Maat fight, and I never played retail, so I had no frame of reference. Didn't die, although I went low at one point.
Decent gear, full AF set. Luashitacast sets for Cure and WS, nothing extravagant. Brought Carbonara, Icarus Wing, 1x Vile Elixir, 2x Hi-Potion +3 and 2x Hi-Ether +3, Persikos au Lait, Yagudo drinks. Used all but the Hi-Ethers.
It took around 5 Swift Blades to take him down, they really do chunk him if you have decent +STR/MND. I didn't cast anything other than Flash and heals, while Maat used 3 Holys (they really hurt). Maat gave up at ~20%, with around 4 minutes remaining.
I would recommend bringing more Hi-Potion +3s for comfort, I went very low at one point and the Vile Elixir was clutch there, so maybe another of those would be good. Didn't use Invincible because I went in with it on CD to see how it would go, but it would be useful to have if he starts spamming Asuran Fists. The Opo-opo Necklace and sleeping potion strategy may work for you but I didn't want to run the clock down. Definitely worth having 225 Sword skill for the stronger WS if no thing else.
