Rune of Releases are completion objects that appear inside Assault areas after the mission objective has been fulfilled.
Activating the Rune of Release ends the Assault mission, removes participating players from the Assault area, and awards Assault Points for a successful clear.
An Ancient Lockbox usually appears near the Rune of Release after the objective is complete. Players should open the lockbox and distribute treasure before using the Rune of Release.
Usage

Completion Effects
| Effect | Details |

| Clear credit | Players may receive mission clear credit for Mercenary Rank progression.

Notes
- The Rune of Release appears after an Assault mission's objective has been completed.
- The party must use the Rune of Release before the mission timer expires to receive successful completion credit.
- The Ancient Lockbox should be opened before using the Rune of Release.
- Leaving the Assault before opening or distributing treasure may cause rewards to be lost.
- Players who disconnect or are outside the Assault area when the Rune of Release is activated may fail to receive credit or rewards.
- The Runic Seal is used to enter an Assault mission; the Rune of Release is used to finish one.
- Nyzul Isle uses Rune of Transfer mechanics instead of the standard Rune of Release flow.
