Ancient Lockboxes are treasure containers that appear in Assault areas after a mission objective has been completed.
An Ancient Lockbox usually appears near the Rune of Release. Players should open the lockbox and distribute treasure before activating the Rune of Release, because activating the rune ends the Assault and removes the party from the area.
Rewards
Ancient Lockboxes may contain normal treasure and unidentified items.

Treasure Handling
- Open the Ancient Lockbox before activating the Rune of Release.
- Leaving the Assault area clears the treasure pool.
- Treasure should be distributed before using the Rune of Release.
- The player who opens the Ancient Lockbox may receive an unidentified item directly into their inventory.
- Some unidentified item rewards may require the Assault to be completed at or above the recommended level.
- Quartermaster may be used to control treasure distribution.
Notes
- Ancient Lockboxes appear only after an Assault objective has been completed.
- Nyzul Isle reward handling differs from standard Assault Ancient Lockbox behavior.
