Verification Needed

Nyzul Isle Investigation is an unofficial Assault mission entered from Nyzul Isle Staging Point.

Unlike standard Assault missions, Nyzul Isle Investigation does not award normal Assault Points. Successful runs reward Tokens, which are used for Rune of Transfer floor transport and temporary items from the Vendor Box.

Basic Flow

  1. Accept Nyzul Isle Investigation from Sorrowful Sage in the Commissions Agency.
  2. Travel to Nyzul Isle Staging Point.
  3. Obtain an Assault Armband from the local Immortal sentry if leading the run.
  4. Enter through the Runic Seal.
  5. Use the lobby Rune of Transfer to select the starting floor.
  6. Complete each floor objective.
  7. Use the active Rune of Transfer to advance or exit.
  8. Exit through the Rune of Transfer before time expires to save progress and receive Tokens.

Runic Disc

Verification Needed

Progress through Nyzul Isle Investigation is saved on a player's Runic Disc.

Mechanic Details
Obtaining Players should examine the Rune of Transfer in the lobby on their first run to obtain a Runic Disc.
Progress The disc records the highest completed floor reached by exiting through the Rune of Transfer.
Starting Floors Players may start on floor 1 or on a floor equal to 1 plus a multiple of 5, based on their recorded progress.
Party Credit Party members who have not recorded progress that far may not receive the same progress credit. Verification Needed

Rune of Transfer

The Rune of Transfer is the main progression object used inside Nyzul Isle Investigation.

State Function
Lobby Selects the starting floor and allows access to the Vendor Box area.
Inactive floor rune Displays the current floor objective.
Active floor rune Appears after the floor objective is complete and allows the party to advance or exit.
Exit Leaving through the active Rune of Transfer saves progress and awards Tokens.

Tokens

Verification Needed

Tokens are awarded after successfully completing at least one floor and exiting through the Rune of Transfer before time expires.

Tokens are not inventory items or key items. They are tracked automatically and can be checked through Sorrowful Sage or the Nyzul Isle Staging Point NPC. Verification Needed

Use Details
Floor transport The Runic Disc holder spends Tokens at the initial Rune of Transfer to start on higher saved floors.
Temporary items Players may spend Tokens on temporary items from the Vendor Box in the lobby.
Mythic-related use Tokens are involved in later Mythic weapon progression. Verification Needed

Token Rewards

The base Token reward per floor begins at 200 and increases by 10 every 5 floors. Final rewards are reduced by party size in the same way as standard Assault Point rewards, and the Assault Armband holder may receive a 10% Token bonus. Verification Needed

Floor Objectives

Each floor randomly assigns an objective. Examining the inactive Rune of Transfer displays the current objective. Completing the objective activates the rune.

Objective Requirement Notes
Eliminate all enemies Defeat all required enemies on the floor. Archaic Gears are not counted. Verification Needed
Eliminate specified enemy Defeat the enemy that checks as the required target. Only the correct target is required, even if similar enemies are present.
Eliminate specified enemies Defeat all required enemies of the specified family. Possible families include imps, soulflayers, poroggos, puddings, chariots, and Qiqirn. Verification Needed
Eliminate enemy leader Defeat the assigned Notorious Monster. Boss floors use special HNM-style leaders.
Activate all lamps Complete the assigned lamp condition. Lamp objectives may be certification, same-time activation, or ordered activation.
Free floor No objective. The party may immediately use the Rune of Transfer. Verification Needed

Lamp Objectives

Lamp Type Requirement Notes
Certification All party members must touch one lamp. Often referred to as registering a certification code.
Same time Activate all lamps within the allowed window. The timing window is lenient; players usually do not need exact simultaneous activation. Verification Needed
Specific order Activate all lamps in the correct order. Lamps that stay lit were activated in the correct position. Lamps that turn off were activated in the wrong position.

Floor Restrictions

Some floors may add an Archaic Gear restriction on top of the normal objective.
