Mission Orders

General Afkaam is to inspect Leujaoam Sanctum. Destroy all creatures in the area that may pose a threat to the general.

Entry

  1. Speak with Rytaal in the Commissions Agency to receive an Imperial Army I.D. Tag.
  2. Speak with Yahsra and select Leujaoam Cleansing.
  3. The tag is exchanged for Leujaoam Assault orders, and the temporary map for Leujaoam Sanctum is issued.
  4. Travel to the Azouph Isle Staging Point.
  5. One party member must obtain an Assault Armband from the staging point's Immortal.
  6. Examine the Runic Seal to enter the Assault.
  7. Each participant receives Azouph Fireflies upon entering.

Map

Leujaoam Sanctum — Map 7

Walkthrough

  1. Defeat all fifteen Leujaoam Worms.
  2. Begin in the southwestern portion of the map around F-8/G-8.
  3. Sweep through the northern loop and defeat each worm encountered.
  4. After returning toward the central portion of the map, clear the eastern dead-end around I-7 before continuing south.
  5. Follow the remaining loop toward the large room around I-9.
  6. The large room contains six worms and presents the greatest risk of linking multiple enemies.
  7. After the objective is completed, the Ancient Lockbox and Rune of Release appear around I-8.
  8. Open the Ancient Lockbox and distribute all treasure before activating the Rune of Release.
  9. Examine the Rune of Release to complete the mission and receive Assault Points.

Enemies

Name Level Spawns Behavior Notes
Leujaoam Worm Varies with the selected level restriction 15 Links
  • Uses Earth-based magic.
  • Public LandSandBoat applies increased Defense and substantial resistance to magic damage.
  • Each worm contributes one point toward the mission's completion progress when defeated.

Strategy

  • Keep a manual count of defeated worms. Worms can temporarily burrow and may be overlooked while moving through the tunnels.
  • Physical damage is considerably more effective than direct magical damage in the public LandSandBoat implementation.
  • Silence, stuns, and other forms of spell interruption can reduce the danger from Earth-based magic.
  • Avoid entering the final room without sufficient recovery resources or crowd control; several of its six worms may link.
  • With fifteen targets and a thirty-minute limit, the party must average approximately one defeated worm every two minutes.
  • Azouph Fireflies may be used to abandon the Assault and return to the staging point.

Assault Points

Party Size Base Assault Points
1-3 1,000
4 900
5 800
6 700

Additional point modifiers:

  • The holder of the Assault Armband receives a 10% mission-leader bonus.
  • A player's first successful completion receives a 50% first-clear bonus.
  • The mission-leader and first-clear bonuses are multiplicative.
  • Public LandSandBoat awards 100 consolation points when an Assault mission fails. Verification Needed

Ancient Lockbox

Upon successful completion, the Ancient Lockbox becomes available beside the Rune of Release.

The player who opens the lockbox receives one unappraised item, provided they have an available inventory slot. Additional consumable rewards are placed into the treasure pool.

Bonus Treasure

Reward Group Result Chance
Guaranteed Remedy 100%
Second reward Hi-Potion +3 50%
Remedy 50%
Third reward Hi-Potion +3 10%
No item 90%

This means that the lockbox always supplies at least one Remedy. A second Remedy has a 50% chance of entering the treasure pool. Hi-Potion +3 has a 55% chance of appearing at least once and a 5% chance of appearing twice.

Unappraised Item

Unappraised Item Appraised Result Conditional Chance Overall Lockbox Chance
??? Ring

Copper Ring 50% 35%
Brass Ring 30% 21%
Archer's Ring 15% 10.5%

The unappraised item's source is retained when it is obtained. Any Appraiser uses that source to select the corresponding Leujaoam Cleansing appraisal table.

Notes

  • The mission's intended objective is to defeat all fifteen Leujaoam Worms.
  • Public LandSandBoat currently spawns fifteen worms but sets its automatic completion threshold to fourteen progress increments. Confirm whether Horizon preserves or corrects this behavior after release. Verification Needed
  • The Rune of Release and Ancient Lockbox are unavailable until the mission objective is considered complete.
  • Leaving the Assault before treasure is distributed clears the remaining treasure pool.
  • Completing this mission contributes toward eligibility for promotion to Private First Class.
