- One party member must obtain an Assault Armband from the staging point's Immortal.
- Examine the Runic Seal to enter the Assault.
- Each participant receives Bhaflau Fireflies upon entering.
Map
Mamool Ja Training Grounds — Map 2
There are three gated prison areas located in the northern, southwestern, and southeastern portions of the mission area. Brujeel is imprisoned behind one of these three gates at random.
Walkthrough
- There are three Dilapidated Gates protecting three Pot Hatches. Brujeel is randomly placed behind one of them when the Assault begins.
- Pull a Mamool Ja Warder to one of the Dilapidated Gates.
- Position the Warder close to the gate and keep it facing toward the gate while it attacks a party member.
- Certain Warder TP moves can be redirected into the gate:
- Firespit counts as 1 hit. Four successful Firespit hits will break the gate.
- Axe Throw or Stave Toss counts as 4 hits. A single successful throw will break the gate.
- A qualifying TP move is not guaranteed to strike the gate even when the Warder is positioned correctly. Keep the Warder facing the gate and continue allowing it to use TP moves.
- Ninja Warders do not have a weapon available for a weapon-throw attack, making them less efficient for breaking gates.
- When a Dilapidated Gate is destroyed, the corresponding prison door opens.
- Examine the Pot Hatch behind the destroyed gate.
- If the hatch is empty, proceed to another prison and repeat the process.
- If it contains Brujeel, he appears and begins his escape sequence.
- Wait for Brujeel's escape sequence to finish. The mission objective is completed automatically.
- The Ancient Lockbox and Rune of Release then become available near J-8.
- Open the Ancient Lockbox and distribute all treasure before activating the Rune of Release.
- Examine the Rune of Release to complete the Assault and receive Assault Points.

Strategy
- Weapon-throwing Warders are the fastest option. White Mage and Beastmaster Warders can destroy a gate with one successful Axe Throw or Stave Toss.
- Ninja Warders can still contribute through Firespit, but require four successful gate hits.
- Fight directly against or immediately in front of the gate so that the Warder remains facing it.
- Avoid turning the Warder away from the gate. Pets or other party members taking hate from another direction can interfere with positioning.
- Use low damage when building the Warder's TP. Killing useful Warders too quickly can make later gates considerably slower if the first Pot Hatch is empty.
- Mamool Ja weapons can be broken during combat. A Warder that loses its weapon can no longer provide the corresponding weapon-throw attack.
- Because the gate-targeting mechanic is not guaranteed to activate on every qualifying TP move, correct positioning may need to be maintained through several attacks.
- Bring adequate healing or defensive support; the strategy intentionally requires party members to remain under attack while waiting for the correct TP moves.
- If the first Pot Hatch is empty, preserve nearby useful Warders when practical and move on to the next prison.
Assault Points
| Party Size | Base Assault Points |
|---|---|
| 1-3 | 1,100 |

Additional point modifiers:
- The holder of the Assault Armband receives a 10% mission-leader bonus.
- A player's first successful completion receives a 50% first-clear bonus.
- The mission-leader and first-clear bonuses are multiplicative.
- Public LandSandBoat awards 100 consolation points when an Assault mission fails.
Ancient Lockbox
Upon successful rescue of Brujeel, the Ancient Lockbox becomes available beside the Rune of Release.
The player who opens the lockbox receives one unappraised item, provided they have an available inventory slot. Additional consumable rewards are placed into the treasure pool.

The unappraised item's source is retained when it is obtained. An Appraiser uses that source to select the Imperial Agent Rescue appraisal table.
Notes
- The correct Pot Hatch is selected randomly from the three prison locations for each instance.
- A gate requires four successful gate-hit increments:
- Firespit contributes 1.
- Axe Throw and Stave Toss contribute 4.
- The Rune of Release and Ancient Lockbox remain unavailable until Brujeel completes his escape sequence.
- Leaving the Assault before treasure is distributed clears the remaining treasure pool.
- Completing Imperial Agent Rescue contributes toward eligibility for promotion to Private First Class.
- Gate behavior and the detailed Ancient Lockbox percentages above are based on the current public LandSandBoat implementation. Horizon-specific observations should take precedence if a verified difference is found.
