HorizonXI Patch Notes - 04/01/23

Wall of Fool's

HorizonXI has always utilized "Era+" to enhance the Final Fantasy XI experience, but we have decided instead to implement the "Era-" system and actively make the game worse for everyone. The following items were added in today's patch:

• The April Fool's day event has been enabled.
• If multiple players click on the same HELM node, they will enter PVP. Only the victor shall remain and claim the node.
• The Chocobo license quest now takes 6-8 real life weeks.
• Chocobos now cost 1 million gil.
• Barber shop NPCs to change character hairstyles have been enabled, but you have to defeat Absolute Virtue before you can access it.
• Galkas have been deleted from the game.
• Beastmasters can now use their pets to attack other players.
• Every player suggestion has been implemented, except we have done the opposite of what was asked for.
• The drop rate of Yingyang rope has been reduced.
• Utsusemi is now merely a “suggestion” and will not always block incoming damage just like blink.
• Conrad has been moved back to his original spot in Bastok Mines but he no longer offers outpost warp services.
• All rich crafters have been sent to jail forever. • Simurgh, Roc, King Arthro, and Serket may now spawn inside Lower Jeuno.
• Corsair has been added but their phantom rolls have been removed because gambling is against the terms of service. *Due to popular demand, the Twinkling Treants have been brought back and outpost warps are disabled until they are all killed. Also they have 20x more HP than before.
• Bard songs now stack infinitely because Bard is underpowered and needs buffs.
• The Christmas event is back again somehow. But this time forever.
• Ebon Panels in sea now actually do something but we won't tell you what.
• All custom HorizonXI music has been replaced with this:

Note's

• It was a joke..... that went horribly right.
• The April Fool's day event has been enabled was a real thing.
• for part of the day of April 1st you would be changed to a random Mannequin and get a /tell from Balamor on what appeared zoning.
  • This caused at least one know issue with RSE gear.
  • This could be fixed by using any of the many race swap plugins or addons.
  • Horizon chat had much to say.
• Balamor is from a future expansion pack Seekers of Seekers of Adoulin, he is a Jester that plays games with the player.
