Stat that is compared to the target's Defense to determine the minimum and maximum amount of damage for melee attacks. The formula of your Attack seems to be like the Ranged Attack formula, keeping in mind that 1 STR equals .75 Attack for most weapons and 1 STR equals .625 Attack for Hand-to-hand weapons.

Formula:

1-Handed Attack = {( 8 + Combat Skill + 3STR/4 + (+attack from gear) + (+attack trait/ability/minuet)) * berserk effect (if available)} * (1+ percentage increase from food )
2-Handed Attack = {( 8 + Combat Skill + 3STR/4 + (+attack from gear) + (+attack trait/ability/minuet)) * berserk effect (if available)} * (1+ percentage increase from food )
Hand-to-hand Attack = {( 8 + Combat Skill + STR*.625 + (+attack from gear) + (+attack trait/ability/minuet)) * berserk effect (if available)} * (1+ percentage increase from food )

Food:

Attack modifications due to food (such as Galkan Sausage) apply after all other modifiers have been considered; simply add the attack value from the food to your total. In the case of food that raises your attack by a percentage such as Meat Mithkabob, multiply your total base attack by 1.x, where x is the percent-value of the food. For a list of all foods that directly modify attack, please see Food Effects/Attack

Pet: Attack from Pet: STR

Pet's attack derived from their STR is via the same rate as a player's off-hand Strength derivation:

Attack= floor(STR ÷ 2)
