Walkthrough
- After completing The Dolphin Crest, speak with Naja Salaheem in Salaheem's Sentinels at I-10 for the mission's opening cutscene.
- Ensure every participant has the
Ephramadian Gold Coin.
- Anyone who needs another coin can examine Jazaraat's Headstone at Caedarva Mire (E-10).
- The party registrant must currently be on this mission. Players who have progressed beyond it may assist if they also possess the coin.
- Use the Runic Portal to reach the Dvucca Isle Staging Point at Caedarva Mire, Map 2 (I-9).
- Travel west to the Arrapago Reef entrance at F/G-9.
- In Arrapago Reef, proceed north to the Cutter at Map 5 (H-8).
- Approach the Cutter for a cutscene, then examine it and select "The Black Coffin" to enter The Ashu Talif.
- Complete the battlefield within 30 minutes.
- After victory, continue through the automatic cutscenes in Arrapago Reef and Nashmau. The Nashmau cutscene completes the mission and begins Ghosts of the Past.
Battlefield
- The battlefield is uncapped and permits up to 6 players.
- Every entrant must possess the
Ephramadian Gold Coin. It is consumed upon entry. - Gessho joins the battle as an NPC ally.
- The first wave contains 5 Ashu Talif Crew members.
- Defeating the first wave summons the Ashu Talif Captain and 4 additional crew members.
- The Captain gives up at 20% HP, completing the battlefield.
- The Captain is immune to Sleep, Terror, Plague, Petrification, and Aspir.
- It can use Wild Card below a randomized 25%-35% HP threshold and attempts Vulcan Shot at roughly 60-second intervals.
- Gessho may interrupt Vulcan Shot if he is alive and able to act.
- Red Mage crew members can use defensive magic, damaging spells, Sleep, Dispel, and several enfeebling spells.
