Augments "Shield Bash":
- Shield Bash damage +500.
- Shield Bash Grants 1000 TP on use
Magic damage taken II -25%:
- Breaks the 50% cap on the trait.
- Occasionally converts magice damage taken into MP
- 10% of magic damage taken converted into MP
- 5% activation rate
- 10% of magic damage taken converted into MP

Historical Background
The Aegis in the book of Iliad is the Shield of Zeus, although it was sometimes lent to Athena and rarely to Apollo. The shield was built with the hide of the Amalthea (Amaltheia in FFXI), and was decorated with golden tassels along with a gorgon's head (from the gorgon Medusa) mounted in the center.
