I hope these requests don't deter you from editing on our Wiki as like I said earlier, we're incredibly grateful to everyone who takes the time to contribute. In fact I quite like the quirky little comments I've seen you adding to [[Fill In|pages such as this one]], but we do also want to create the best pserver wiki out there and these little changes will go a long way towards this goal. - [[User:Spiffly|Pendulum]] ([[User talk:Spiffly|talk]]) 21:19, 13 March 2024 (UTC)

So i noticed '| change = <name>' calls another page which reads the link's text after the hyperlink which is cool. Anything else i should know? --[[User:Pyrra0|Pyrra0]] ([[User talk:Pyrra0|talk]]) 19:17, 14 March 2024 (UTC)

I presume you mean <nowiki>[[link|text you want to display]]</nowiki>? I mentioned a new feature in my first message. See the image below on where to find it. It's in it's early stages but we will be adding more page templates to it soon, so keep an eye out for that. It's simple to use, simply choose a template from the drop down and load! The idea is that it'll allow users to see how we want certain pages to be styles, which templates should be used etc.
What I would suggest is to keep an eye on the [[Special:RecentChanges|recent changes]] page. It's not unusual for our editors to re-edit pages to try and show the original editor how we would like them to have edited something. Think of it as peer-reviewing each other. And please don't think it's just you! Many times I've had to re-edit a page, cursing "which editor made a mess of this page!", only to check the history and realise it was me 12 months ago! It's a learning curve for everyone. [[User:Spiffly|Pendulum]] ([[User talk:Spiffly|talk]]) 23:59, 14 March 2024 (UTC)

Hi Pyrra0, Thank you so much for your contributions!! We appreciate your efforts and assiatance :).
You can join the Wiki Discord (link in the main page of this wiki - top right corner - for any questions related to editing.
For monster pages, you can use this page as reference for regular monsters and this one for NMs when it comes to formatting correctly. -.chiimi (talk) 11:47, 26 February 2024 (UTC)

Hello .chiimi First off honorable mentions to devs and editors since this will ping, here and here are great places to bookmark. Regarding templates: Yes i did notice the color scheme for the monsters and can gladly add them. For sake of cleanliness, I will try to do as much as can before punching for new pages. Asides from the dynamis monsters, planning to add screenshots for pages ive created thus far just to reiterate. Thank you for reaching out and giving templates. - --Pyrra0 (talk) 18:31, 26 February 2024 (UTC)

Hey Pyrra0, I'm Pendulum, one of the Wiki admins. I wanted to reach out to you on the Wiki discord but noticed that you'd left? so I'm reaching out here instead. We really appreciate each and every person who takes the time to contribute towards the Wiki, so I wanted to start by saying thank you for yours. That being said, I've noticed a few of your recent edits aren't quite what we would like our editors to make. There are 2 examples and hopefully when I explain them, it should be clear how we would prefer the edits.

  • Unnecessary redirects - A recent example is the page "Iron ingot" page you created. All item pages used capitalised words (barring the usual ones such as "to, of, and" etc. One page is enough and you can use "[[Iron Ingot|Iron ingot]]" as an alternative. This also applies to variations on page names, such as "Thief Knife", "TK", where we already the page "Thief's Knife". Fortunately mediawiki's search feauture is really powerful and is really good at finding the correct page, even if a user typos!
  • Correct page formats - We are in the process of introducing a new feature which should make this really simple for ALL editors! However for now, I noticed the Fenrir's Earring page and a couple of others that you previously added have had the "2007" format. We prefer all of our item pages to use more up to date formats, including the Item Statistics template. Using this template allows us to incorporate "DPL" tables, which are an incredibly useful tool. Check out the warrior pages equipment section for a working example. The other reason is that for a more mobile device friendly layout, we like page headers to be at 100% page width. You can check out the earring page mentioned above for an example.

I hope these requests don't deter you from editing on our Wiki as like I said earlier, we're incredibly grateful to everyone who takes the time to contribute. In fact I quite like the quirky little comments I've seen you adding to pages such as this one, but we do also want to create the best pserver wiki out there and these little changes will go a long way towards this goal. - Pendulum (talk) 21:19, 13 March 2024 (UTC)

I presume you mean [[link|text you want to display]]? I mentioned a new feature in my first message. See the image below on where to find it. It's not unusual for our editors to re-edit pages to try and show the original editor how we would like them to have edited something. Think of it as peer-reviewing each other.
