Note
While you can get the Brigand's Chart from a Bhefhel Marlin it does not function on the HorizonXI server at this time.
Walkthrough
- Talk to Zaldon with a minimum total of 30 fishing skill to begin the quest.
- See the Fishing page for gear that can boost your fishing skill, allowing you to accept the quest with as little as 22 fishing skill.
- If there is an item in the fish he'll give it to you and he'll give you some gil for compensation for taking the fish. Larger fish have increased odds of providing the item.
- Some of these items are used in the quests Indomitable Spirit, Brigand's Chart, and Pirate's Chart.
- When questing the Ebisu Fishing Rod you DO NOT have to have the
Serpent Rumors prior to getting your items. You do, however, have to have Serpent Rumors in order to catch the Lik and Gugrusaurus. And to start Indomitable Spirit to get the Ebisu Fishing Rod.

Those listed with Skill 100 and above are considered "legendary" fish.
