If you've just completed The Requiem on another job, you can save a bit of time and immediately flag the quest with Mertaire on that job. However, you do need to switch back to BRD before talking to Imasuke.
  • Mertaire tells you to take the Star ring obtained from The Requiem to an antique collector, namely Imasuke near the entrance to Qufim Island.
  • Imasuke says he can't read it and that you should bury it in Perennial Snow. The snow in question is located at (I-10) in Xarcabard. Bury it there - it appears that you only need to check the Perennial Snow once to purify the ring.
  • After digging the ring up, return to Imasuke, who tells you the language is old San d'Orian and that you should find someone that can read it.
  • Talk to Chalvatot in Chateau d'Oraguille.
  • Chalvatot sends you to the Monastic Cavern. Head to I-8 in the caverns. Clear the room and examine the altar to pop the NM Bugaboo.
  • The Orcish Warlord spawns in the same room and has True Sight.
  • Soloable by a 75 RDM/NIN.
  • You can simply pull the Orcish Warlord to the nearby zone so all other mobs despawn, then kill the Orc. Go back into the altar room and spawn and kill the Bugaboo.
  • After you defeat Bugaboo, check the altar again and go back to talk to Chalvatot to complete the quest.
