He doesn't really "sell" anything; it's more like bartering. He will give you different Orbs that are needed to enter BCNMs in exchange for your Beastmen's Seals or Kindred's Seals.

You may trade up to 8 trade slots of the same type of seal per transaction, and he will store them for future use. (Mixing different types of seals causes the trade to cancel.) Orbs purchased from his menu deduct from your total traded seals.

If at any time you are wondering if your orb has been used or not you can trade said orb to Shami and if the orb is not used he will say something along the lines of "Just bring this orb to a burning circle in either Balga's Dais, Waughroon Shrine, or Horlais Peak, and 'poof!' instant monster." If the orb has already been used he will say "Oh dear! I see a crack here. It's worthless now, so I'll dispose of it. But, I've still got more!" The used orb will then be removed from your inventory.
