Solutions

Hey, good to see you again. If you're seeing this error (or occasionally 3001, etc, but not 3113) in the above mentioned spots, you may have an issue with either a .DAT or your USER folder may be corrupted.

The first step is to try to rename your USER folder. You'll find it in: \Horizon\FFXI\HorizonXI\Game\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\ Note: The root folder is wherever your Horizon game files are installed.

Find your USER folder in there, and rename it to USER_backup. Try to start the game again. It will create a new empty USER folder, but all of your macros and in game settings will still be contained in the backup. If your game continues past the point that it was crashing without issues, good news! It's fixed!! Bad news...You have to redo all your macros and settings.

If this doesn't fix it, you are either the victim of a corrupted .dat, or you may need to be homepointed by a GM. At this point, I would submit a GM ticket and ask them to homepoint you (use the Stuck Login category in horizonxi-support). If you have further issues, your next step is unfortunately to reinstall.

At this stage you can also either delete the newly created USER folder and change USER_backup back to USER, or if you reinstall you can save that and use it for the new install (though I would try to log in before you transfer it over, just to be sure you're not carrying anything across)
