Iron Musketeer's Cuirass Set
A Bastokan-designed plate armor created for the elite Iron Musketeers force charged with defending Bastok. Because of both the stats and appearance, the set has long since become popular with both other soliders and adventurers, especially paladins. The set itself lends a hefty defensive rating as well as slight bonuses in vitality and agility. As an additional bonus to any warriors or dark knights that opt for this armor, the set also provides bonuses to Ranged Accuracy, making them more deadly with their bows and crossbows. It is not crafted, instead requiring Conquest Points from rank 4 and 5 Bastokans. There is a crafted upgrade to this set in the form of the Iron Musketeer's Cuirass +1 Set and an HQ crafted upgrade in the form of the Iron Musketeer's Cuirass +2 Set.

Historical Background
A cuirass (from the Latin coriaceus, meaning made of leather, and further from the Latin word corium which was a leather breastplate), is the plate armor formed of a single piece of metal or other rigid material or composed of two or more pieces, which covers the front of the wearer's person. In a suit of armor, however, since this important piece was generally worn in connection with a corresponding defence for the back, the term cuirass commonly is understood to imply the complete body-armor, including both the breast and the back plates. Thus this complete body armor appears in the Middle Ages frequently to have been described as a pair of plates. A related item, the Corselet, is a comparatively light cuirass.
