Hello fellow Horizonites! 👋
The Horizon Herald was first previewed all the way back in February, if you can believe that? Sadly the staff team have been prioritising other areas of Horizon's development and it's very much been a backburner project ever since. With the server continuing to thrive, the staff team haven't forgotten about it and have recently reached out to the wiki community for help. Via User:Hugin, they have asked for our help on the wiki discord to get it up and running and the amazing wiki editors have been more than willing to assist. https://discord.com/channels/1078846428736147507/1150163323770372137. Going forward the plan will be for the wiki to host each issue of the Horizon Herald.
We're really excited to be given this opportunity as the cohesion between the server, the community and the wiki will only help Horizon to grow further. Unfortunately we're only a small team of wiki editors and while we have some incredibly talented people amongst us, we could really use some extra assistance! We've been putting some ideas together (found in the link above) about how the Herald will look and feel but we're always looking for more. Our main issue at present is the artwork, having no artists amongst out editors, hence this post. If you are an artist and would like to help, we need you!
We're using the original FFXI Tribune as a base to work from in terms of design and an example of it can be found here https://ffxiclopedia.fandom.com/wiki/The_Wondrous_World_of_Cooking. We don't want to simply copy what came before but to Horizon-ify it, breathing some fresh, Horizon filled life into it. If you're an artist and would like to help, we really do need you!
