Receptacles are a species of Empty, the memories of the souls that lie inside the Promyvion mothercrystals, and can be considered fairly powerful. Unlike all other Empty, they do not associate themselves with an element. Receptacles can be found in all Promyvion areas and, instead of dropping memories or recollections, act as gatekeepers between floors of Promyvion. Be warned, though: perhaps developed as a defense mechanism, not all Receptacles will grant access to higher floors. Some are merely decoys.

Receptacles appear to be glowing spheres of pure energy, bobbing up and down in a contained area in which they are held. Periodically, they will spawn Strays, either to keep it company, or to assist it when under attack.
