Walkthrough

1. Complete Promotion: Superior Private and accumulate 25 rank-up points as a Superior Private.
   • Completing an Assault mission for the first time awards 5 rank-up points.
   • Repeating an Assault mission that you have already completed awards 1 rank-up point.
2. Speak with Abquhbah on the upper floor of Salaheem's Sentinels at I-10 to begin the quest.
3. Speak with Nafiwaa in the Alchemists' Guild at G-5.
4. Nafiwaa provides five temporary key items:
   • Empty test tube #1
   • Empty test tube #2
   • Empty test tube #3
   • Empty test tube #4
   • Empty test tube #5
5. Fill each test tube at its corresponding Mythralline Wellspring.
   • The tubes may be filled in any order.
   • All five tubes must be filled before Nafiwaa will begin the first mixing attempt.

Travel Notes

• Enter Wajaom Woodlands from Aht Urhgan Whitegate through the Ironbound Gate at H-10.
• Enter Bhaflau Thickets from Aht Urhgan Whitegate through the Ironbound Gate at H-7.
• The Bhaflau Thickets wellspring is on Map 1 at G-7.

Mixing the Mythralline

1. After filling all five tubes, return to Nafiwaa at G-5.
2. Each test tube contains three portions.
   • Selecting a tube during the mixing process uses one-third of its contents.
   • The relative concentration values in the table above apply to each one-third portion.
3. Inspecting the tubes provides the following clues:
   • Tube #1: The liquid appears to be very light.
   • Tube #2: The liquid has the same concentration as Tube #4.
   • Tube #3: The liquid appears to be very dense.
   • Tube #4: The liquid reacts three times faster than Tube #1.
   • Tube #5: The liquid has half the concentration of the densest sample.
4. Select Start the Process to begin combining the liquids.
5. For the best result, create Luminium with one of the following combinations:

1. Select Hand it to the Guild! after completing the desired mixture.
   • If you discard the mixture instead, any remaining liquid is retained.
   • Return to the corresponding Mythralline Wellsprings to refill the partially used or emptied tubes before trying again.
   • Once the mixture is submitted to the guild, all five test-tube key items are removed.

Mixture Quality and Bonus Reward

The mixture quality is determined by the total relative concentration of the portions used.

• The LC Wildcat Badge and promotion are awarded regardless of mixture quality.
• Platinum randomly awards either the Imperial Mythril Pieces or the single Imperial Gold Piece.
• Luminium provides the highest possible currency reward.
• Using too much concentrated mythralline produces smoke and no currency bonus.

Completing the Quest

1. After submitting the mixture, wait until the next Vana'diel day.
2. Ensure that you have at least one free inventory slot if your mixture qualifies for a currency reward.
3. Enter the Salaheem's Sentinels office area at I-10 after the day has changed to trigger the final cutscene.
4. Select Helping his fellow mercenaries when prompted.
5. The quest is completed:
   • Your SP Wildcat Badge is removed.
   • Your accumulated rank-up points are reset.
   • You receive the LC Wildcat Badge.
   • You receive the title Lance Corporal.
   • Lance Corporal Assault missions become available.
   • You receive any currency bonus earned from the mythralline mixture.
