Refresh (Status Effect)

Refresh (Spell) and Auto Refresh (Job Trait) have identical names. If an internal link incorrectly referred you to this page, please change the link to point directly to Refresh (Spell) or Auto Refresh (Job Trait).
Refresh is a beneficial status effect that refreshes a player's magic pool until it wears off or is removed. Benefitting characters gain magic points back while standing, sitting, or resting.
How to remove the effect
- This effect can be dispelled.
- Refresh spell gained from the Red Mage cast or food items can be manually removed (those that give the status icon pictured above). Those gained from Mage's Ballad, Mage's Ballad II, and Evoker's Roll cannot be manually removed (uses different status icons).
- Sublimation will both overwrite and block Refresh-status, be it from the RDM spell "Refresh", enchanted items or food. However, it will NOT block Refresh from different sources such as songs or rolls, or the RDM spell Refresh II.
How the effect is inflicted/gained
Spells
- Red Mage - Refresh (3mp/tick), Refresh II (6mp/tick)
- Blue Mage - Battery Charge (3mp/tick)
- Geomancer - Indi-Refresh (up to 5mp/tick)
- Geomancer - Geo-Refresh
Job Abilities
Note: these abilities grant their own unique status effects, which cannot be cancelled.
- Avatar's Favor - Diabolos's Favor (1-6mp/tick depending on Summoning Magic skill level and Favor duration)
- Phantom Roll - Evoker's Roll (1-5mp/tick depending on conditions)
- Leviathan - Spring Water (2mp/tick for 3 Minutes for a total of 120 MP)
Drinks
- Orange Juice - 1mp/tick, 90 seconds (2mp/tick if used while wearing Dream Pants +1/Dream Trousers +1)
- Apple Juice - 1mp/tick, 135 seconds
- Tomato Juice - 1mp/tick, 180 seconds
- Pineapple Juice - 1mp/tick, 240 seconds
- Grape Juice - 2mp/tick, 90 seconds
- Melon Juice - 2mp/tick, 135 seconds
- Vampire Juice - 2mp/tick, 150 seconds
- Yagudo Drink - 2mp/tick, 180 seconds
- Strange Juice - 2mp/tick, 300 seconds
- Kitron Juice - 3mp/tick. 180 seconds
- Amrita - 5mp/tick, 300 seconds

- Mana Tank - Automaton only; '1-7mp/tick depending on the number of Dark Maneuvers and frame
- Mana Tank II - Automaton only; '2-9mp/tick depending on the number of Dark Maneuvers and frame
Monster Abilities
- Allied Mantelet - Aura effect (3 MP/tick to allies)
- Confederate Mantelet - Aura effect (3 MP/tick)
- Note: Removing status effects granted by an aura while in range will only result in them being re-applied.
Others
- Field Support - 1mp/tick at the cost of 20 Fields of Valor tabs
