Walkthrough

Starting the Quest

1. Complete Transformations.
2. Set Blue Mage as your main job at level 66 or higher.
3. Speak with Waoud at Aht Urhgan Whitegate (J-10).
4. Accept the challenge to begin the quest.
   • Current LandSandBoat does not enforce an additional wait after completing Transformations.
   • Waoud may offer an optional 1,000-gil divination after the quest has begun. This does not advance the quest and is not required.

Obtaining a Blue Mage's Testimony

Obtain a Blue Mage's Testimony from a Mamool Ja Mimicker.

A usable testimony is required to enter the battlefield. If the game reports that the testimony is worn or otherwise unusable, discard it and obtain another.

Traveling to the Jade Sepulcher

1. Return to Aht Urhgan Whitegate.
2. Ensure that at least one inventory slot is free for the Scroll of Instant Warp reward.
3. Trade the Blue Mage's Testimony to the Imperial Whitegate at L-8.
4. Confirm that you are prepared to continue.
   • The testimony is not consumed by this Whitegate interaction.
   • You will be transported directly to the Jade Sepulcher.
5. View the cutscene that occurs upon your first arrival.
6. Trade the same Blue Mage's Testimony to the Ebony Door near the entrance.
7. Select The Beast Within to enter the battlefield.

Battlefield

1. Defeat Raubahn within ten minutes.
   • The battle is solo.
   • Your support job is disabled.
   • You do not lose experience points if defeated.
   • Raubahn does not need to be killed. Reduce him below 20% HP while remaining alive to win.
2. After victory, complete the resulting cutscene to receive:
   • A level-cap increase from 70 to 75, if your current level cap is 70.
   • Scroll of Instant Warp
   • The title Master of Ambition
3. The quest completes automatically; returning to Waoud is not required.

If the battlefield attempt fails, return to the Imperial Whitegate with a usable Blue Mage's Testimony and trade it again to return to the Jade Sepulcher.

Raubahn Mechanics

Mechanic	Details
Victory threshold	Raubahn is scripted as unkillable. Once his HP falls below 20% while the player is alive, he concedes and the battlefield is won.
Azure Lore	Raubahn uses Azure Lore once after falling below a randomly selected HP threshold between 50% and 90%.
High-damage response	If Raubahn receives 400 or more damage from a single hit, he delivers a special message and his base damage multiplier increases to 150% for the remainder of the battle.
Five-minute trigger	Approximately five minutes after his initial taunt, Raubahn is set to 3,000 TP once.
Casting speed	Raubahn casts Blue Magic substantially faster than a normal player.
Immunities	Silence Dark-element Sleep Terror
