Walkthrough

1. Speak with Milazahn at G-8.
2. Agree to investigate the reports concerning Two Horn the Savage.
3. Go to Cacaroon at G-11.
4. Trade exactly 1,000 gil to Cacaroon.
   • Speak with him again after the trade for additional information directing you to Mamook.
   • Cacaroon is involved in several other Aht Urhgan quests and missions. If the expected interaction does not occur, exhaust any unrelated dialogue and retry the exact 1,000-gil trade.
5. Travel to the quest-specific Viscous Liquid at E-8.

Travel to Mamook

Via an Activated Mamool Ja Staging Point

1. Enter the Chamber of Passage at L-7.
2. Use the Runic Portal to travel to the Mamool Ja Staging Point.
   • The destination must already be activated.
   • Use a Runic Portal Use Permit. Players traveling under Mamool Ja Assault orders cannot leave through the exterior gate.
3. You arrive in Bhaflau Thickets at H-11.
4. Exit the staging point through the Heavy Iron Gate at H-10.
5. Travel to I-9 and enter Mamook.
6. You arrive in Mamook near F-10.
7. Travel northwest to the Viscous Liquid at E-8.

Overland Route

1. Leave Aht Urhgan Whitegate for Wajaom Woodlands through the gate at H-10.
2. You enter Wajaom Woodlands near M-7.
3. Travel southwest and enter Mamook at D-12.
4. You arrive in Mamook at J-7.
5. Proceed through Mamook Map 1 to the Viscous Liquid at E-8.

Mamook Investigation

1. Examine the Viscous Liquid for a cutscene.
2. Examine it a second time to spawn a Mamool Ja.
3. Defeat the Mamool Ja.
   • Nearby Mamool Ja may link or interfere with the battle, so clear or avoid the surrounding enemies before spawning it.
   • Once the quest NM has been defeated, changing areas does not erase the kill progress.
4. Examine the Viscous Liquid again after defeating the Mamool Ja for another cutscene.
5. Return to Milazahn at G-8.
6. Ensure that you have at least one free inventory slot, then speak with Milazahn to complete the quest.
7. You receive an Imperial Mythril Piece.
