*While active, all spells cast will have zero cast time other than the casting animation. However, spells still cannot be cast non-stop as there is still an approximate 2.5 - 3 second delay after casting a spell that you must wait before you're able to start casting another one.

*Chainspell does NOT prevent spells from being interrupted due to movement. It is difficult (but not impossible) for enemies to interrupt your casting while Chainspell is active.  
*Depending on the enemy, it is advisable to have some sort of safeguard against attacks such as [[Sleep (Status Effect)|sleep]].
* A common use of [[Chainspell]] is for the Red Mage to use the subjob [[Dark Knight]], giving them access to the spell [[Stun]]. This combination can keep a mob stunned for the full minute and is often used for zergs/dangerous periods of a mob fight.

  • Chainspell is a Red Mage's Two Hour Ability.
  • While active, all spells cast will have zero cast time other than the casting animation. However, spells still cannot be cast non-stop as there is still an approximate 2.5 - 3 second delay after casting a spell that you must wait before you're able to start casting another one.
