Amaryllis is a monotypic genus of plant also known as the Belladonna Lily or naked lady. The single species, Amaryllis belladonna, is a native of South Africa. The botanic name Amaryllis is taken from a shepherdess in Virgil's pastoral "Eclogues," from the Greek word meaning "to sparkle." This is probably why it is an acceptable flower to trade to the Sparkling Light in the side quest Lycopodium Warps. It is also used as a given name for females, and known as the "Jersey Lily" after Lily Langtry. | Amaryllis is a monotypic genus of plant also known as the Belladonna Lily or naked lady.
