This is the second Blue Mage Artifact Armor quest—commonly referred to as AF2.

Walkthrough

Starting the Quest

1. Complete Beginnings.
2. Zone after completing the quest.
3. Set Blue Mage as your main job at level 50 or higher.
4. Speak with Waoud at Aht Urhgan Whitegate (J-10) to begin the quest.
   • Blue Mage is required as the main job to begin Omens.
   • After the quest has been accepted, the remaining steps may be completed on another job.

Navukgo Execution Chamber

1. Travel to the Navukgo Execution Chamber entrance at Mount Zhayolm (D-8).
   • Some overland routes pass through the Gates of Halvung and require the Cast Metal Plate.
   • The battlefield entrance itself is reached through Mount Zhayolm at D-8.
2. Enter the Navukgo Execution Chamber.
3. Examine the Decorative Bronze Gate and select Omens.
4. Defeat every Immortal Flan within 30 minutes.
   • The battlefield has no level cap and permits up to 18 players.
   • The number of Immortal Flans increases with the number of players entering.
   • All spawned flans must be defeated to win.
5. After winning, exit the battlefield.

Sealed Immortal Envelope

1. Return to Waoud at J-10.
2. Complete the resulting cutscene to receive the Sealed Immortal Envelope.
3. Speak with Lathuya at F-8.
   • Lathuya is on the upper level inside the merchant stall.
   • Speak with Lathuya normally; the envelope is not traded through the Trade menu.

Aydeewa Subterrane

1. Exit Aht Urhgan Whitegate to Wajaom Woodlands at H-10.
2. Travel through Wajaom Woodlands to the Aydeewa Subterrane entrance at K-9.
3. Enter Aydeewa Subterrane on Map 6 at H-9.
4. Head north and examine the unnamed target beside the pond at H-7 for a cutscene.
5. Return to Lathuya at F-8.
6. Complete the resulting cutscene to receive:
   • Magus Charuqs
   • The title Immortal Lion
   • The Sealed Immortal Envelope is removed.
7. Zone and wait until the following Vana'diel day before attempting to begin Transformations.
   • This is a Vana'diel-day wait, not a Japanese-midnight wait.

Immortal Flan Scaling

The number of Immortal Flans is determined by the number of players who enter the battlefield.

Battlefield Mechanics

• The flans share a linked battlefield group.
• Engaging one may place the other spawned flans into combat.
• Immortal Flans begin casting magic after they are engaged.
• The battlefield is won only after every spawned Immortal Flan has been defeated.
