Notes

  • Morphs from one the two Myxomycetes at the south end of (E-9). It may morph only during rainy weather. It will only morph after the monster has been left alone for a minimum of 12-16 hours.
  • The rainy season in this area occurs mostly from the 4th Vana'diel month through the 6th month. The Weather Reporters in Jeuno and Mhaura will predict "Rain" during this period. This period lasts around three earth days, and rain will usually occur on each day. It is possible for Noble Mold to spawn multiple times during this window.
  • Noble Mold may also morph outside of this window, although it is extremely rare.
  • Unlike Lottery Spawn monsters, the placeholder for Noble Mold must remain alive in order for Noble Mold to spawn. Killing the placeholder resets the spawn timer the same way killing Noble Mold does.
    • Maintenance will also reset the spawn timer. Verification Needed
    • Killing the nearby Rot Prowler also resets the spawn timer, killing the Lost Soul does not.
    • Noble Mold can spawn any day of the Vana'diel week.
    • The true placeholder appears as the last Myxomycete on Wide Scan. Verification Needed
  • Once spawned, it will not despawn if the weather changes.
  • Casts a number of water-based spells (Aquaveil, Water II, Waterga II, Enwater, Drown, and Poison II).
