Notes

  • Utsusemi shadows are useless against Stormwind. It will clear all shadows and still cause damage. Melee beware.

Strategy

Get all 3 birds to low hp (5-8%), then finish off.

K - WHM, T - RDM, A - BRD, When one of the birds is killed the other ones use their respective two-hours as well as enraging and beating your tanks into the dirt.

Recommmended kill order is: WHM > RDM > BRD

Taking the birds and spreading them out to prevent stormwind from overlapping is ideal, you can make an arrow formation placing three tanks in a triangle formation 40' apart with healers placed right in the middle of the lines so they can each handle the healing easier.

Additionally my group found that by having a party of six on each bird and good communication it's rather easy to coordinate getting the HP low and allows you to coordinate skillchains on each bird and burn them down even faster. Note: Our gear currently is some homam, some dynamis, and some sky gear and we still brought it down.

I've heard accounts of a LS as low as eleven members beating this fight and witnessed another LS using a THF and SAMs to tank the birds. (#ClubWadi)

The PlayAndFindOut linkshell completed this battle trivially with 8 members.

The last Roc must be killed after the bodies of the other 2 have completely despawned, otherwise you will not be awarded loot/shards. This was confirmed by Ah Puch after our group coordinated killing them together too quickly. This does not trigger lockout but is 'by design' per Violet.
