- Only one of the three Ashu Talif quests may be accepted per Japanese Midnight reset.

- A direct route is to use a Runic Portal Use Permit to reach the Dvucca Isle Staging Point at Caedarva Mire, Map 2 (I-9).
- From the staging point, travel west and enter Arrapago Reef at Caedarva Mire, Map 2 (F-9 / G-9).
- In Arrapago Reef, proceed north to the Cutter at Arrapago Reef, Map 5 (H-8).

- The first successful completion grants Mog Wardrobe 3: 5 slots.
Battlefield
- The battlefield is uncapped, permits 3–6 players.

- The time limit is 30 minutes.
- Status enhancements are removed upon entry.
- A cage of Cutter Fireflies is provided to each participant upon entry. It can be used to return to the Cutter before completing the battlefield.
- Only Cutthroat Kabsalah must be defeated to clear the battlefield.
- Defeating the other enemies and approaching the Captain without being detected determines how many Ancient Lockboxes appear.
| Enemy | Count | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Windjammer Imp | 2 | Stationary guards in the ship's hold. Pull them away from the Captain before fighting them if attempting to obtain all three lockboxes. |
| Bubbly | 1 | An Opo-opo with high defense and true-sight detection. It links with Cutthroat Kabsalah and is highly resistant to most enfeebling effects. |
| Cutthroat Kabsalah | 1 | A Corsair-type Fomor and the battlefield's primary target. It uses frequent melee and ranged attacks and possesses a Regain effect. |
Obtaining All Three Lockboxes
The following procedure is required to satisfy the reported condition for all three Ancient Lockboxes:
- Pull each Windjammer Imp out to the deck and defeat it away from Cutthroat Kabsalah.
- Do not allow an Imp to detect and aggro a party member before it is deliberately claimed.
- If the Captain hears Abrasive Tantara or Deafening Tantara, the third-lockbox condition is lost.
- Leave Bubbly unclaimed and avoid its true-sight detection.
- Move past Bubbly and strike Cutthroat Kabsalah while the Captain remains unaware.
- The first successful hit must be a normal melee auto-attack.
- A missed melee swing, spell, ranged attack, job ability, or weapon skill does not satisfy the surprise condition.
- After the Captain and Bubbly engage, defeat Bubbly before defeating the Captain.
- Defeat Cutthroat Kabsalah to complete the battlefield.
Failing the surprise condition does not prevent the quest from being completed. It only reduces the number of Ancient Lockboxes that appear.
Rewards
- The first successful completion grants Mog Wardrobe 3: 5 slots.

- Up to three Ancient Lockboxes appear after Cutthroat Kabsalah is defeated.

Notes
- This quest does not require an Imperial Army I.D. Tag and does not award Assault Points or mercenary rank points.
- A different Ashu Talif quest can be held simultaneously if it was accepted after a separate Japanese midnight reset.
- Repeating the quest requires another Imperial Mythril Piece.
- A failed battlefield attempt does not remove the daily acceptance restriction. The quest remains active until completed or abandoned.
