Notes
- Spawned during the quest "Yomi Okuri" by checking the ??? at (F-8) and laying down Washu's Tasty Wurst to lure it out.
- Has very low accuracy.
- Susceptible to Lullaby and Silence.
- Uses all Roc special attacks and Horde Lullaby, which it uses about every 30 seconds.
- Soloable by most jobs at level 75 with some difficulty (or time), and by Beastmaster at level 70 (using Torama as pets). (see testimonials)
- Elementals can still aggro by magic to level 75 jobs, but other monsters in that immediate area will not.
- The use of Poison Potions to counteract the Sleep effects is highly recommended.
Historical Background
In Japanese folklore, Ubume was the ghost of a pregnant woman who was buried alive and gave birth to the child while entombed. The ghost would stand on the street corner offering the ghost of the child to any passersby. The Ubume is considered harmless. Other versions of the story depict the Ubume as the ghost of a pregnant woman who gives birth to a living child and who tries to protect her baby from the living or get nourishment for the baby.
