In Norse mythology, Mökkurkalfi was a giant made from clay by the Jotuns (Frost Giants). The Jotuns tried to use Mökkurkalfi to terrify and overwhelm Thor, but Thor’s presence intimidated Mökkurkalfi. Mökkurkalfi was 9 leagues tall (45km or 27 miles tall) and 3 leagues wide (15km or 9 miles wide). It was slow moving. Its weakpoint was its legs. It was animated when the heart of a horse was placed in it.
