Historical Background
Terra, often with the honorific title Terra Mater (Mother Earth), was the Roman goddess personifying the Earth. She was the goddess of earthquakes, associated with fertility (both of women and animals), and heavily linked to agriculture. The High Quality earth crystal, Terra Crystal, also shares her name. Gaia is Terra's Greek counterpart for which the Gaia Doublet and Gaia Mantle are named.
