Historical Background
Gluttony is one of the "Seven Deadly Sins" which lead to damnation according to some Christian beliefs. The other sins include wrath, greed, envy, lust, pride and sloth. This accounts for the seven Skull NM's in the Eldieme Necropolis.
Gluttony is the sin of eating and drinking, or having too much of anything in large excess. The punishment for committing this sin was to be forced to eat rats, snakes, and toads. The demon that represents gluttony is Beelzebub.
