Interference with other Quests
If you are currently on...
- ...Say It with Flowers, you must finish (fail or succeed) before this quest can be activated.
- ...Chains of Promathia Mission 3-3 The Road Forks, you will have to speak to Yoran-Oran before you get the cutscene for this quest.
- ...Windurst Mission 7-2 (Awakening of the Gods), you may have to talk to Ohbiru-Dohbiru twice.
Walkthrough
Note: After Blue Ribbon Blues, you will have to zone out and back in to get the quest.
- Upon accepting the quest, you will receive a Rhinostery Certificate which will provide access to Toraimarai Canal via Windurst Walls.
- Talk to Ohbiru-Dohbiru. The Rhinostery wants you to kill Starmites in Toraimarai Canal. Collect all the Starmite Shells you can gather and bring them back to the Rhinostery.
There are 2 paths to the Starmite Camp:
Path 1 (Priming Gate)
This path requires the Rhinostery Certificate for access.
- Starting from the Priming Gate at Windurst Walls (H-3), zone into Toraimarai Canal (requires the Rhinostery Certificate).
- At first intersection head east, follow path
- Down stairs at I-8 & head east
- Make 2 right turns at I-10
- Up stairs at I-9
- You find the Starmites at (G-9)
Path 2 (Horutoto Ruins)
This path requires a WHM, a BLM and a RDM OR the Portal Charm for access.
- Starting from the Lily Tower at East Sarutabaruta (J-7), zone into Inner Horutoto Ruins.
- Cracked wall at G-8
- Magic Gate of Horutoto at E-10
- Cracked Wall at D-10
- Pass through the Three Mage Gate at (H-9) (requires a WHM, a BLM and a RDM OR the Portal Charm)
- Through false wall at H-8
- Toraimarai Canal door at H-6 & zone into Toraimarai Canal
- Cross bridge at H-6
- Down stairs at H-7 & turn right at intersection
- Up stairs at H-9
- Cross bridge at I-8
- Down stairs at J-9 & head east to 2nd map
- Up stairs at F-8
- Down stairs at H-10
- Up stairs at I-9
- You find the Starmites at (G-9)
Finishing the Quest
- Ohbiru-Dohbiru will reward you with 4,500 gil for every 3 Starmite Shells that you bring him. Must talk to him each time to trade another 3.
