Imperial Standing, often abbreviated as IS, is the Near East's regional point system. It is earned and spent in Treasures of Aht Urhgan content.
Players can view their current Imperial Standing by opening the in-game menu category Regional Info under Besieged, or by typing the /bmap command.
Imperial Standing is primarily earned while the player has the Sanction effect active. While Sanction is active, defeating enemies that grant Experience Points in Treasures of Aht Urhgan areas can award Imperial Standing. The common rate is 1 Imperial Standing per 10 experience points, though this may vary based on Astral Candescence and Imperial Defense Bonus conditions. 
Imperial Standing may also be earned through successful participation in Besieged.
Imperial Standing can be exchanged for equipment, maps, and other rewards from Imperial Gate Guards, provided the player has the required Mercenary Rank.
Imperial Standing is also used for several Aht Urhgan services, including 
Runic Portal Use Permits from Sharin-Garin and Near Eastern currency exchange with Ugrihd.
Imperial Standing can also be used to purchase entry key items from Shajaf for ISNM battlefields.
Obtaining Imperial Standing
Sanction
Players can earn Imperial Standing from experience-yielding enemies in Treasures of Aht Urhgan areas while Sanction is active.

Archaic Mirrors
- Trade an Archaic Mirror (Item) to an Imperial Gate Guard in Aht Urhgan Whitegate, Al Zahbi, or Nashmau.
Imperial Gate Guards
Imperial Gate Guards provide Sanction and allow players to exchange Imperial Standing for available rewards.
