Data collection for the Sunbreeze Festival 2026. The event started August 28th 2026.

Bibiki Bay - Purgonorgo Isle

  • Info to be added

Whack-a-mandie

  • Purgonorgo East, West and Southern beaches.
  • Invasive Mandie mobs spawn near these shores.
  • Strike them with a club hammer (obtained for free from Info Moogle on the North beach) to kill and receive points
    • Mandragoras without flowers are worth 1 point
    • Mandragoras with flowers are worth 2 points
    • Korrigans (black) are worth 5 points.
    • Adeniums (larger and pink colored) are worth 7 points.
    • Points can be redeemed at the Rewards Moogle on the North Beach
    • Mandies can currently be killed with DRG Jump and MNK Chi Blast. This is considered an exploit, and GMs are punishing people for it. (This text in the guide is a holdover from previous events. Don't verify if it still works, just use the hammer.)

Racetrack Betting

  • North Beach
  • Races last about 4 minutes
    • Depends when the final runner finishes
  • Betting times start at 5:00 , 11:00 , 17:00 , 23:00 (In-game clock times)
  • Races start 1 in game hour after betting starts -- 6:00 , 12:00 , 18:00 , 0:00
  • Speak to Racing Moogle during the betting period to bet on one of the four NPC racers. You can bet values of 500, 1000, 5000, or 10000 gil. This value is doubled and rewarded upon victory, but irrelevant to receiving the event swimsuits.
  • When placing a bet with Racing Moogle , you know it was successful if you get the dialogue: "So be it! Come and see me after the race. Good luck!" If you did not get that message, then you need to talk to Racing Moogle again to lock in your bet (probably due to there being a huge influx of players placing bets at the same time).

  • Clamming - Note: Clamming is not specifically part of the Sunbreeze event, and will still be available after the event ends.

Goldfish Scooping

Goldfish Scooping is a mini-game that can be played during Sunbreeze Festival. It is a special type of fishing where your objective is to accumulate Goldfish Points by catching and trading these golfish to Special Event NPCs.

Locations

There are four locations where you can participate in the event. At each location is an NPC who sells event-related items and hands out rewards. Each NPC is sitting near the edge of a small body of water in which the goldfish may be caught.

Equipment

In order to start with the mini-game you need to get a Goldfish Basket and several super scoops from the NPCs listed above.

  • The Goldfish Basket is obtained for free by choosing the "I'd like a bowl" option.
  • Super Scoops can be purchased for 100 gil each by choosing the "I want to buy a scoop" option, or in exchange for points obtained from trading fish (see below).

Equip the Goldfish Basket in your Range slot, and Super Scoops in your Ammo slot.

  • /fish in or next to water to begin.

Points

Trade goldfish to any of the goldfish scooping NPCs to earn points. Points may be redeemed at the same NPCs.

Rewards Verification Needed

NOTE: The RSE swimsuit bottoms are not the same as the bottoms you get from Whack-a-Mandie! You cannot upgrade them to the +1 version that improves clamming results. The swimsuit bottoms from Goldfish Scooping are purely cosmetic.

Attempting to redeem for a rare tagged item that you can't receive due to already having it will still consume your points.
