Targeting self abilities or item usage macro shortcut is <me>.

• /ja "Berserk" <me>
  • this is the fast normal compound way of making a macro for a job ability, the / is the initating command, ja is short for Job Ability, "Job Ability" is always in quotes, and needs to be capitalized as it is in game, and the target of said job ability, in this case <me> for a immediate self target. Can also be used in magic for faster self casting without having to target
• /ma "Cure II" <me>
  • this allows a simple macro hit to automatically start casting Cure on themselves, other such good uses would be for Protectra and shellra
